Contra Costa county woman dies of West Nile

Alright, somebody has been officially declared to have died from West Nile virus at Martinez. That's not very far from Davis. I would really rather have mosquitoes killed than have organic planter boxes protected here in Davis.

I mean come on, the data relating to health benefits from organic foods is still controversial. Furthermore, dosage levels from aerial spraying to eliminate mosquitoes are not high enough to cause problems to humans. I know that aerial spraying is not a panacea for this problem but it's one way to deal with the problem head on.

Don't get me wrong though, I like organic produce since most of them are grown locally. I always try to support local farmers but I think no one wants to have another person die from West Nile virus.
